Halo has always been one of the best first party games that Xbox has to offer. The Master Chief Collection is a game that combines the first four main titles, Halo Combat Evolved Anniversary; Halo 2 Anniversary; Halo 3 and Halo 4 into one medium. What was meant to be a remaster of Halo 2 became a collection of games to bring bag the nostalgia that fans were craving. The cutting edge story line, the blood pumping gameplay and the amazing art design is what made Halo stand out as something truly unique.

The Master Chief Collection features a full remaster of Halo 2 including improved and revised art, graphics, cinematics, soundtracks and character voiceovers. With the help of Blur Studios Halo 2 was given breath taking cinematic cut scenes that make you question yourself, am I watching a movie? The improved graphics and art modernise the game whilst still retaining the essence of nostalgia and originality. The music and soundtrack help contribute to explosive gameplay and puts players on the edge when it comes to fighting swarms of aliens. Everything about the Halo 2 Remaster just feels like quality.

Included as a bonus are Halo 1, 3 and 4 with improved resolution of 1080p and increased frame rates of 60fps. However, these games do look quite dated compared to the Halo 2 remaster and the improved resolution and frame rates don’t make a huge difference.

The storyline of the games in the collection are the same as their counterparts however the new remastered cutscenes in Halo 2 gives the plot more depth.
